From cleats to canvas—
always in motion.
Braelyn Byars is a multi-talented artist from South Carolina. Braelyn finds joy in expressing herself through bold colors, layered textures, and playful techniques. She works across mediums—painting, photography, and digital art—drawing inspiration from nature, everyday life, and the feeling of movement.
Braelyn's first solo painting collection, HANDMADE, was created entirely with her hands—finger painting, dripping, splattering, and more. The collection was featured in the Community Gallery at Richland Library - Main. Her follow-up series, Spark!, explores experimental color blocking and poured paint. Her work has been featured in Kids in Print, the 701 CCA Young Artist Festival, and onstage in Workshop Theatre’s Sordid Lives.
When she’s not making art, Braelyn is an accomplished soccer player and performer, earning accolades such as Offensive Player of the Year (2024) and Coaches’ Player of the Year (2025). She recently appeared in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee and joined the ensemble of Beetlejuice at Workshop Theatre.
Braelyn’s art reflects her energy, imagination, and love for color—and she’s just getting started.
